The Primary Election
The State of Hawai'i holds single party Primary Elections to nominate candidates who will represent each political party in the General Election. Expect your ballot in the mail around July 23rd 2024, safely mail it back by August 6th, or drop it in a Drop Box or at a Voter Service Center by August 10th before 7pm. If you lose or make a mistake on your ballot, you may still vote at a Voter Service Center, or call (808) 961-8277 to make other arrangements.
The General Election
The General Election is a Candidate Contest. Voters may vote for the candidate of their choice regardless of political affiliation. Expect your ballot in the mail around October 18th 2024, safely mail it back by October 31st, or drop it in a Drop Box or at a Voter Service Center by November 5th before 7pm. If you lose or make a mistake on your ballot you may request a replacement ballot be mailed to you, vote at a Voter Service Center, or call (808) 961-8277 to make other arrangements.

Voting by Mail
Pursuant to Act 136, SLH 2019, elections are conducted by mail. All registered voters automatically receive their ballot in the mail approximately eighteen (18) days prior to the election. Ballots are sent to the mailing address provided with the voter's voter registration.
